What are you fighting for?

Yesterday my family and I went to Wal*mart for grocery shopping. Most the time we wander off while my mom is getting the food and stuff, we look around, look at the newest selection of their mesley book collection, or video games. Anyhow I was looking at iPod gadgets, and there were a few teenagers, sitting on a bench, and walking around. basically just hanging out. Anyhow, a boy and girl caught my attention. They gave me the feeling that they were a "couple", though the way the girl was treating that boy they seemed more like bickering siblings. The girl who might have been beautiful if she didn't wear so much make up, and so little clothing, and the boy looked like he hadn't bathed in the past month. And I began to think, this is what my generation is? Bratty slut and sleazy guys? Do teens have nothing to show for themselves? Then I literately saw those kids futures, while i walked though the store. There was a woman, who wore clothes that were much to small for her, might have been in her mid-twenties, screaming kids handing on the cart, and her while she tried to shop. A man, who was dirty, unshaven, skinny as the dead, and he didn't even look present. I saw a woman tired, arguing with a teenage girl who was not wearing enough clothes. Why? Why do we let the past repeat its self? Why do we fight for the stupid things but when we see couple like those teens, we do not say anything? I honestly wish I  had said something. I don't want to see my generation who are new and young and who could remake this world, fall back into past mistakes. I don't want my kids to grow up and that be the norm.
So I challenge you, my friends, be more. Be more than what his world says is the norm. Why not make a better future for yourself and those you care about? Why not fight for that which is worth fighting for instead of pouring your energy into a lost past? We are the inheritors of this earth, though it might not be much now, it can be great if you just try.
